ARTHUR's at the robert mclaughlin gallery
Arthur’s honours the legacy of its iconic architect, Arthur Erickson. Our approach commits to the legacy of the existing structure, while elevating the amenities and materials to meet the demands of its current use. The new design also increases the potential for revenue-generating rentals.
“Space has always been the spiritual dimension of architecture. It is not the physical statement of the structure so much as what it contains that moves us.”
- Arthur Erickson

Oshawa, Canada
Our design captures a timeless aesthetic that takes cues from Erickson’s own architectural and interior design sensibilities, as well as the collection’s focus on contemporary Canadian art. Complementary finishes and modular furnishings improve the space’s adaptability and use cases for today’s market. The result is a highly flexible dining venue for patrons and events rentals, supporting the financial health of the institution and thereby protecting the collection’s cultural legacy.
This dialogue between artistry and business value is intrinsic to the Denizens practice.
